No need to name it, just show us. Then you choose who to continue with.
The same account does both.
Use Flare for
Moving, lawn care, tree work, electrical, plumbing, locks, TV mounting, furniture assembly, and just as much a car that won’t start, a computer that won’t connect, a bike that keeps slipping gears, or whatever doesn’t fit a neat label. As small as someone to wash a sink full of dishes, as involved as help figuring out a problem you can’t crack on your own.

How Flare works
My dishwasher keeps leaking onto the floor
Marcus T. and Priya A. are an illustrative example, not real Flare activity.
Tell Flare what you can help with, once: furniture, computers, yard work, your trade, whatever it is. We’ll show you nearby work that fits. Opening and replying is always free.
How Flare works for you
Post once, and it goes out to nearby pros who match it. Here’s what’s built in around that.
We only ever show a neighbourhood, never a street address. That won’t change without you saying so first.
If we haven’t actually checked something, we won’t call it verified. Simple as that.
Someone saying they can take it on doesn’t mean they’re licensed. That’s still on you to check for regulated work.
The problem, what you agreed on, timing: it all stays in one private conversation, not scattered across texts and calls. We don’t handle payments yet, so never send money or personal details just because someone asks.
What things cost
Rough national ranges, so you’re not going in blind. Not a quote from us, and not what your job will actually cost. Whoever you talk to on Flare gives you their own number for your specific problem.
National averages. Your actual price depends on the job, your area, and who you choose.
These are just the common ones. Flare isn’t limited to this list — post anything from a sink full of dishes to a project you can’t figure out on your own.
Yes, for using Flare itself. Posting, browsing, replying, and setting yourself up to help are all free, no subscription and no fee to sign up. The only money that ever changes hands is whatever you and the other person agree on for the actual work, and only once you’ve chosen someone.
No. Show it: a photo, a video, or just a description in your own words. People who’ve fixed that kind of thing before will recognise it even if you can’t name it.
We don’t — Flare does the finding. Your problem gets pushed out to nearby pros who match it, instead of you searching for them. Whoever’s actually available says so, you read who said yes, and you choose. Nobody is picked for you, and nobody can message you first.
We just launched in San Diego, so we can’t promise how fast. Your problem stays up either way, and you can add a clearer photo or more detail anytime to help it get noticed.
Yes. We only ever show a neighbourhood, never your street address. We’re not sharing exact addresses yet at all. Once booking exists, that’ll only happen privately, after you say so.
No pay-per-lead, no bidding for attention, and no subscription for the people helping you, which is how most similar platforms actually make money. Flare only takes a cut once a job is confirmed solved, so we only get paid when you do. And there’s no forced category picker: you describe the problem in your own words, in a photo or a sentence, not by clicking through a menu tree first.
